Rolex seems to want to get on the bandwagon of the in-house advertising that is so in vogue. The prestigious Swiss luxury watch brand would be willing to withdraw most of the advertising budget (or even all) that Wunderman Thompson, a subsidiary of WPP, has been managing over the last 74 years. The Swiss firm would invest around $30 million in advertising each year. According to Business Insider , Rolex is apparently determined to build the foundations of its own in-house advertising agency on European soil. And I would have already taken the first steps in this direction. A production for which a WPP branch in New York was responsible until now would have recently moved to London. Neither Rolex nor Wunderman Phone Number List Thomson have officially commented on the rumors reported by Business Insider . Rolex wants to fly solo with the creation of its own in-house agency J. Walter Thompson began collaborating with Rolex in 1946. Since then, the faces of famous athletes, musicians and actors have paraded through the Swiss brand's advertisements. Rolex also plays an absolutely leading role in the James Bond films. Ian Fleming, the author of the books on which the famous film saga is based, regularly wore a Rolex Explorer on his wrist, so Sean Connery, the first 007 agent, was also equipped with a watch from the Swiss firm. Wunderman Thompson's most recent (and probably also most opulent) campaign for Rolex aired during the 2020 Oscars broadcast and featured prominent film directors such as James Cameron and Martin Scorsese.
